- Cooking oil - 4tbsps
- water
- Cooking oil for deep frying the Pakwan
Mix the Maida, salt and oil properly. add water and make dough with medium consistency.(neither very hard nor very soft it should be bit harder than consistency required the chapattis or puries). Divide the dough in around 20 parts and give them the shape of small balls. Spread the balls with the help of Bellan till the diameter of 6-8 inches thin enough so that it may not raise like puri while frying. Heat the cooking oil in a karahi for deep frying, up to maximum temperature drop it in karahi. If it raises with steam like a puri, press it with the frying spoon so that it does not raise. Change the side and fry it is golden brown and crispy place it on the blotting paper so that it can soak the extra oil. Pakwan is ready to serve with Hot Channa Dal.
