Fish Curry (Methi Garlic and Ginger)
Ingredients
- Fish (preferably boneless i.e. Singhara or Surmai breed)- 300 grms
- Garlic - 8 pieces
- Ginger - 1" piece
- Fresh Methi chopped finally - 1cup
- Tomato - 150grms grinded to paste
- Green chili - 2
- Salt to taste
- Dhania (Coriander) Powder - 1tsp
- Haldi(turmaric) powder 1/2 tsp
- Red chili powder 1 1/2tsp
- Cooking oil - 3tbsps.
Wash the fish properly sprinkle salt over the pieces of fish and keep aside for 1&1/2 hour. Wash salted fish with small water. Heat the oil and deep fry the pieces of fish for few seconds or till it is bit stiff and keep aside. Grind Methi, ginger, garlic and green chili togather to a paste. Heat the cooking oil in a vessel, add the paste and stir for few minutes add the tomato and salt to the taste of curry, stir continuously till it releases the oil add the fried fish and stir gently for few seconds add 1& 1/2 cup of water, stir gently. When it starts boiling sim the gas and cover the vessel with lid.Cook for 10 minutes. Off the gas and let the fish stand on burner for 5 minutes. Serve hot with Chapatti/rice
