Methi and Garlic Rice
Ingredients
  • Rice - 1cup
  • Methi (fenugreek leaves) - 1/2 cup
  • Green Garlic(Fresh garlic available only in winters) - 1/3 cup
  • Mutter (Pease) - 1/4 cup
  • Gobhi (Coliflower)chopped in small pieces - 100(only folower) Optional
  • Potato chopped in small pieces - 1 medium size Optional
  • Salt to taste
  • Haldi (Turmaric) - 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chili Powder - 1/3 tsp.
  • Tomato finally chopped - 1 medium size/4tbsps.
  • Water - 3cups
Method
  1. Wash the rice properly and soak for about 15 minutes.
  2. Wash methi leaves and green garlic and keep a side
  3. Heat the oil in a pan preferably with heavy bottom.
  4. Add rice, all ingredients except water and stir to mix them properly.
  5. Add water, when it starts boilling properly, slow the flame of the gas and close the pan with its lid.
  6. Cook it on sim gsm for 5-7 minutes or till the rice and vegetables softens.
  7. Serve hot with dry/fried vegetables like Gobhi, Allu etc. or Curd
