Mutton Illaichi Wala
Ingredients
  • Mutton - 500grms
  • Tomato - 150 grms grinded to paste or 3/4 cup tomato puri
  • Green cardamom - 6 pieces
  • Cumin seed(Jeera) - 1tbsp.
  • Black Pepper(Kali Mirch) whole - 1tsp.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Haldi (Turmeric) Powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Fresh Green Dhania (Coriander Leaves)Finally chopped for garnishing - 2tbsp.
  • Cooking oil/Pure Ghee - 3tbsps.
Method
Grind coarsely green cardamom,cumin seeds and black pepper. Heat oil or pure ghee in pressure cooker add grinded cardamom, cumin seeds and black pepper stir for few seconds add mutton pieces, salt and turmeric powder stir till water released by Mutton dries. Add tomato stir till it releases oil/ghee add 1&1/2 cup of water stir to mix well cover the pressure cooker with lid. When pressure is formed sim the gas and cook for 10-15 minutes or till mutton softens.(It depends on the quality of mutton if it is big one it may take 5 minutes more to smoothen). When pressure is released open the cooker transfer the mutton to Serving Dish , garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chapatti.
