Salted Chilla
Ingredients
  • Wheat flour - 100 grms.
  • Water - 200 grms
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Chili Powder - 1/3 tsp.
  • Cooking oil.
Method
Mix water salt and red chilli powder in a bowl and stir till salt melts. add wheat flour slowly while stirring and be sure that there are no lumps in the batter. Keep aside the batter. Heat the tawa preferably non-sticking, pour one cooking spoon(Karchhi) of batter in the center of tawa and spread it evenly with the fingers up to the diameter of around 6 inches. Pour oil around the edges let it cook for few seconds. Turn it gently with the help of flat spoon(Pulta)with sharp edges (wooden if using nonsticking tawa) cook its other side for few seconds and turn it gently. Grease its both sides and cook till it is golden brown and crispy. Serve hot with curd or papar.
