Seyal Mani(Roti Masala)

This recipe is to utilise the left out roties (chapattis) afterward or next day. This can be served as breakfast as well as snack with tea/coffee in the evening.

Ingredients
  • Left out Roti - 4
  • Onion finally chopped - 1
  • Ginger Chopped - tsp.
  • Garlic finally chopped - 1tsp.
  • Green Chili finally chopped - 2
  • Tomato finally chopped - 2 Medium size
  • Salt to taste
  • Haldi - 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chili Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Dhania Powder - 1 tbsp.
  • Rai (Mustered Seeds) 1/2 tsp.
  • Water - 1/2 cup.
  • Cooking Oil - 3 tbsps.
Method
Make small pieces of roti and keep aside. Heat the oil in a broad vessel like Karahi. Add rai, as it crackle add onion stir till it is translucent add Ginger and garlic, stir till mixture is golden brown. Add pieces of roti, salt. haldi, dhania powder, red chili powder, green chili, tomato and stir for few seconds to mix the ingredients properly, add water stir for few seconds and close it with the lid. Cook on sim gas for five minutes or till the water dries properly. Stir it in between atleast once to avoid its sticking to the bottom of the vassal. Garnish with green coriander leaves finally chopped and serve hot with tea or coffee
