Sweet and Salty Chirwa Mixture
Ingredients
  • Chirwa(Pohe) - 100grms
  • Groundnut pealed and roasted - 2tbsps.
  • Cashew nuts broken in two parts - 2tbsps.
  • Raisins - 2 tbsps.
  • Dry coconut (chopped in small thin slices) 2 tbsps.
  • Sugar(preferable grinded)- 1 tbsp.
  • Salt to the taste
  • Haldi( Turmarik) 1/2 tsp.
  • Cooking oil for deep frying
Method
Heat the cooking oil in a Karahi. Place a big steel sieve(soup sieve) in karahi and drop some quantity of chirwa (that can be fried easily) in sieve. When it is fried lift sieve along with fried chirwa drain extra oil in the karahi place chirwa in a bowl sprinkle salt, sugar (according to the quantity of fried chirwa), a pinch of haldi and shake to mix properly. Repeat the same for rest of chirwa. Fry rest of ingredients i.e. cashew nuts, groundnuts, coconut and raisins one by one, each for few seconds and place on chirwa. When it is done shake whole mixture properly to mix all ingredients and keep aside to let it cool. When it is cool store it in an air tight container. Serve this sweet and salty Mixture with tea or coffee.
