Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cup maida/whole wheat flour
- 1 cup beaten fresh curd
- 1 cup fine sugar
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- few drops of vanilla essence
- pinch of salt
- chopped walnuts(Optional)
- oil for greasing
- Sieve the maida/whole wheat flour , salt, baking powder and baking soda two three times and keep a side.
- In another bowl beat the curd add sugar and mix it properly. Pour the oil and mix it well add the essence. Now add the sieved mixture slowly and mix it thoroughly.
- Grease the baking pan with oil and dust it with maida or cover inside of pan with butter paper.
- Preheat the oven at 180 degree Centigrade for few minutes./Remove the weight(whistle) of lid of cooker and preheat the cooker for few minutes.
- Put the batter in the pan, put the pan in oven/cooker and bake it at 180 degree/low flame of the gas for 35-40 minutes or till it is baked completely( for check put the needle or knife in the cake if it comes out cleanly it means cake is baked properly.
- Put it on wire rack till it cools.
- Remove from the pan and cut into pieces
- Store in an airtight container to prevent it from drying up.
