VEG BURGER (American)










Ingredients
  • Burger Buns - 1packet (6 buns)
For Patties (Tikki)
  • Potato boiled - 3 Medium size.
  • Bread slices - 2
  • Green chilli chopped finally - 2
  • Coriander Leaves chopped finally - 2tbsp.
  • Annardana - 1/2tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp.
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Onion chopped in thin rounds - 1 medium size.
  • Tomato chopped in rounds - 1 medium size
Method
  • Mash the boiled potatoes properly.
  • Soak bread slices in water for few seconds and squeeze it and add to mashed potatoes.
  • Add salt, red chilli powder, annardana, green chilli, coriander leaves and mix properly.
  • Make 6 parts of the mixture.
  • Roll each part in ball and press it to make a shape of a round pattie of burger's size.
  • Slit the buns in the middle to make two parts.
  • Heat oil in Karahi for deep frying the tikkies simultaneously heat the tawa or frying pan on the other burner of the gas.
  • *Deep  Fry the tikkies and greeze the tawa/frying pan with oil/butter and roast both parts of bun, put one slice of onion over it put fried pattie/tikki put one slice of tomato and cover with the other part of the bun press gently.
  • Repeat *for each burger.
  • Serve hot with tomato ketchup/sauce
Tips : for preparing tikki some grated vegetables like capcicum, carrot, green pease(mashed) can also be added to potato to make it more nutritious.
